We have bunch around here, I use them for all kinds of things besides guns too. 10 pounds holds most tools, knives, dog chains, etc

Looks very useful but potentially dangerous. First, I would test this _extensively_ with the weapon to ensure that the magnet doesn’t cause the sear to break, muck with the safety, move the slide or snap the hammer. Second, while in a vehicle, any jarring motion could dislodge the weapon. I would hate to be fishing around my feet for my pistol while the carload of thugs that just rearended me is unloading.Magazines, maybe. Weapon, no way.
Does anyone know if this thing can cause the moving parts to become magnetic and fail to operate? I know that sounds far fetched, but Murphy’s Law does apply when you least expect it. Other than that, it sounds like a decent idea.
