Gun Holster…?

Which gun holster would best fit a 9mm on the back portion of the belt? (lower back) I don’t want to have a gun on my side.

Check out the BlackHawk Small of the Back holsters
Reholstering with small of the back holsters maybe difficult but with practice and training you can easily adjust.
Have you though about inside the waistband holsters? Check out Comp-Tac holsters.

holsters are going to be gun specific, there are too many 9mms to have any idea of what kind of holster would work, but in general a small of the back holster only works with the smallest of guns, very small semiautos or snubnose revolvers. It is an undesireable place to have your gun, regardlss of what you think you learn from watching TV. Galco makes an okay small of the back holster, but it only really works decent with the smallest glock pistolshttp://www.cheaperthandirt.com/71318-592…
Why don’t you want a gun on your side? An inside the pants wasteband holster is a great choice. Otherwise shoulder holster or ankle holster or even pocket holster.

  3. I’d go with behind-the-hip carry as well (between 4 o’clock-5 o’clock if you’re right-handed.) It’s not as obtrusive as carrying on the point-of-hip (3 o’clock), nor is it uncomfortably in the small of the back when you’re seated (do you plan on sitting down while carrying concealed?). You can call it a compromise, but without a jacket, strong-side behind-the-hip is the best position to conceal a handgun on your hip. The shoulders allow your clothes to drape over the gun without much printing if you have good posture. Unless you have a humpback, the small of the back is not going to be as effective for hiding the gun unless you have a really thin pistol. But if you wear a jacket all the time, don’t plan on driving, and plan on not sitting down against a back of a chair for long periods of time, go with small of the back if you like. I think Galco makes a decent SOB holster that my co-worker uses, but I’d recommend checking out an IWB from Milt Sparks. I use the Versa Max 2

you will quickly grow to hate a behind the back holster. You can’t sit without it hurting, you can’t get to it quickly when sitting etc. If concerned about a firearm “going off” and shooting yourself, do two things, first, Don’t by a Glock because more people have accidnets with them then any other pistol, and second, get some good training.

The small of the back holster can break your back if you happen to slip and fall backwards on concrete. Behind the point of the hip would be a better choice. Anyway here is MOB holster.http://www.activeprogear.com/model20.htm…

Only inexperienced and being careless (finger inside the trigger guard/housing). I own a few Glocks … all of which are .40 S&W cal. and depending upon the work or personal protection I carry a G23 or G35. It’s not about looking pretty, it’s about what works for you. Quality leather items are not cheap and do not over look a thick belt (NOT width).
